How pleasant is Saturday night,
When I’ve tried all the week to be good,
And not spoke a word that was bad,
And obliged everyone that I could.
Most women are not very good at self care. As mothers, daughters, wives, & employees much of our lives are spent satisfying the needs of others. Yet we neglect ourselves and then wonder why we are tired all the time, lacking energy, creativity and ambition. Well I would like to give you permission to indulge yourself.
To indulge means to to yield to an inclination or desire; allow oneself to follow one’s will; to yield to, satisfy, or gratify; to yield to the wishes or whims of.
We often do not allow ourselves to indulge because we are “being good”, saving money, don’t have enough time. I want you to come along with me for a moment. Close your eyes and allow yourself to think dreamily about something you desire or a whim you have. *sigh…
Now permission has been granted by the Universe partake in an indulgence this weekend, who knows maybe you will get carried away.
Need some ideas~
~Soak in a bubble bath
~Have a massage
~Buy a new pair of shoes or socks if that is all you can afford this week
~Bake that fancy cake you saw in the magazine
~Feed the ducks
~Sip some Port wine or great cup of coffee
~Enjoy that art exhibit you have been thinking about
The possibilities are only limited by your imagination! So take and hour and take care of yourself, Indulge.
