I stood overlooking the vastness of the desert while during my travels in Jordan last year. I remember thinking the desert in the US does not compare to the sight before my eyes. My state of mind was overwhelmed at the openness of it. This particular photo was taken at Mount Horeb; the place where Moses looked out over the promise land that the Israelite’s would inherit. I wondered if there was less sand then. With so many lush, rich areas on earth I wondered why this was the place that he decided to inhabit. Daily Post
Summertime Beverages Poolside
Taken on the streets of Boston on summer afternoon in July.
I captured this photo over three years ago from the deck of our favorite eatery. At the time I thought, “cool shot, happy someone left it for me to snap”. Many visits later to that favorite spot and I know that the lone ladder is always there, simply waiting for someone to climb its rungs or take its picture.
My husband has a propensity toward fancy drinks when we travel. Here the talented server in Mexico creates a sumptuous coffee liqueur drink.
This weeks photo challenge asked us to use our phone camera and the mobile version to create the post. I did as asked but now edit the original at the desktop.
My neighborhood was receiving a blanket of snow so I decided to stay indoors.
